What is Exilis? What's the difference between Exilis and Exilis elite?

Dermedica was one of the first few clinics in Perth to offer Exilis Elite, which has now become the skin tightenin treatment of choice at Dermedica.

There are 2 versions of Exilis. The table top Exilis protege and the more potent Exilis Elite. At Dermedica we offer the latest Exilis Elite technology for skin tightening and fat reduction. Only the Exilis Elite uses a combination of monopolar radio frequency (RF) energy and ultrasound simultaneously to give the dual effect of fat reduction and skin tightening

Why is Exilis Elite a treatment of choice for treating loose skin on the tummy, arms and thighs?

Only the Exilis Elite has a body handpiece tip has a built-in thermometer to minimised risk of overheating. Due to the precise and controlled ‘layered advanced cooling’, it allows a better heat and depth of penetration at which the energy is delivered. This allows the treatment to be more comfortable for the patient and better result.

How does Exilis work?

The Exilis computer-controlled device is guided over the treatment area. You will feel a warm sensation as the energy is delivered to the layers of skin.

For fat reduction, a precise controlled energy of radiofrequency, ultrasound and cooling targets deep thermal heating, initiating metabolic activity in local fat tissue and the lipolysis process is accelerated. Fat cell volume decreases and the fat layer is reduced.

For skin tightening, controlled heating is engaged to redefine loose skin and smooth wrinkles. This causes the collagen supporting tissue to remodel, thereby stimulating and strengthening the collagen network to improve skin laxity and texture.

How many Exilis treatments will I need?

Generally four to six sessions (one session every one to two weeks) is recommended*. To determine a more definitive number of treatments an assessment from Dr Teh is required.

It is a great non surgical alternative for people who does not want to undergo surgery. The cost of each treatment depends on your expectation, the degree of laxity and the size of the area. Treatment starts from $350 in a treatment package.
